Here is a rundown of the latest Autumn interior trends for 2021. A list of trending themes, accessories, furnishings & textiles to help inspire your own projects…
1.) One With Nature
This trend incorporates elements of the natural world to create a comforting and serene home setting. Think of earthy tones, plants (both dried and potted), natural wood and light textiles. Eco-conscious interior choices are at the forefront of this trend.
2.) Cottagecore
Cottagecore embodies a feeling of home comfort induced by nostalgia. Because of the lockdown events, many people aspire for a home that feels warm and safe – Cottagecore definitely delivers on this front. Think of delicate florals, patterned wallpaper with a country edge, panelling and reclaimed wood for a farmhouse look.
3.) Checks & Stripes
This is a particularly unexpected trend for the autumn season, but one that is very interesting. This theme creates a harbourside feel – we can practically hear the seagulls! Create a calming botanical look with crisp whites and muted tones. Combining stripes and checks is a fine balancing act, but when prepared properly, the patterns work harmoniously as one.
4.) Vintage Styling
Vintage styling is the name, reclaimed furniture is the game. Whether it’s a bargain from your local charity shop or a piece of furniture that has been passed down through generations – these statement pieces can be used to achieve the vintage styling trend. Retro artwork, brass accessories and shabby chic styling is key!
5.) Deep Blue
Blue has become the nation’s new favourite colour which has been trending for a few years now. Hague blue is one of our favourite shades, it pairs beautifully with white and gold tones, and as you can see it is a perfect choice for your kitchen.
6.) Tropical Getaway
In need of a holiday? Transport yourself to a tropical island this autumn with vibrant blues and greens to create a deep jungle vibe. Paired with animal prints to add definition to a space. The ‘tropical’ theme isn’t solely a summer trend. By adding deeper base colours and luxurious gold to the mix, you can create a truly exquisite interior.
7.) Sage Kitchens
Sage is clean, calm and arresting – which is why it’s a popular colour choice for cabinet doors at the moment! Sage is a natural green which makes it easy to pair with other muted colours. Add copper or gold accessories for a glamorous look.
